A Recap Of Porsche Motorsport Of North America’s Final Quarterly Newsletter Of The Year

2018 was a great year for us here at HOUSE Automotive, and we’re feeling a little sentimental as the year finally comes to a close. We’re also really excited for what’s to come in 2019, as we’ll be opening a new independent Porsche repair shop in Encino! This way, we’ll be better able to serve the southern California Porsche community, all while pursuing our passions. How could it get any better than that?

More News Updates From Your Southern California Independent Porsche Repair Team

The Porsche Motorsport of North America organization sends us quarterly newsletters recapping what’s been going on for the Porsche community at large in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. We figured that it would only be appropriate to pass on some of these updates to our blog readers, so read on below for some updates about the PMNA.

As always, don’t hesitate to get in contact with our team if you have any questions about our blog content, your vehicle, or our Porsche repair business as a whole.

Taking Podiums At Different Races

Various Porsche customer racing teams had a successful race season this year. With three GTD podiums in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, four podiums in the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and a staggering 37 podiums in the Pirelli World Challenge series, there’s a lot to celebrate for Porsche motorsport drivers!

If you’ve been involved with any of these events, HOUSE Automotive would like to thank you for your continued service and support. You’re sure to uphold some good automotive karma.

Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 2019 Registration Is Still Open

There’s no hill climb race more famous than the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The 12.42-mile “circuit” (really, a narrow road) winds up the Rocky Mountains and challenges drivers with a mind-boggling 156 turns and a total of 4,720 feet of elevation gain. That’s quite a lot to subject on a vehicle, let alone the driver.

The “Porsche Pikes Peak Trophy” by Yokohama will be a new variant of this legendary race, a series limited to only six drivers. Registration is open until January 4th, so act quickly if you’re part of the racing scene and you think you have what it takes to handle “America’s Mountain.”

The Porsche Trophy East Invitational Is Happening

It’s true! While the Porsche Trophy West USA occurs every year as part of the 23 global Porsche one-make championships that occur, the east coast of the United States finally has a chance at participating — and winning — this fun, community-driven race. The Porsche Trophy Invitational Series races are especially great because they’re fun, friendly, and generally include a range of drivers from first-time amateurs to seasoned professionals.

The invitational series will hit Texas and Utah early this summer, but in early September, the concluding race will be held at the Virginia International Speedway. We can’t wait!

The New 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Is A Monster

After receiving more attention at the Los Angeles Auto Show back in November, we’re stoked that the most powerful street-legal 911 ever built is finally receiving more of the recognition that it rightfully deserves. After all, this beast is a 700hp machine that you can legally take out onto the roads, so it definitely warrants a little praise, at least within the greater Porsche community.

Unfortunately, the new 911 GTS RS will be limited to only 200 units worldwide — very exclusive, indeed.

On A Racing Team? Get A Social Media Shoutout!

If you’re Instagram-savvy (and let’s be honest, the majority of motorsport enthusiasts tend to share of a lot of race events on social media platforms), and you’re on a Porsche Motorsport racing team, there’s a good chance that you could get featured by their official page.

Their new team feature, “#TeamTuesday”, aims to highlight different Porsche customer racing teams and showcase their hard work, dedication to winning, and their passion for the Porsche brand. Though we’re pretty busy at our independent Porsche repair shop in Southern California, you could say that this feature is right up our alley.

You won’t get featured by submitting a post with that hashtag — instead, email marketing@porschemotorsport.com with the following:

  • 3-5 photos of your team, track, car shots, cars getting fixed, etc. (think action shots)
  • A few fun facts that are unique to your team
  • A short summary of what separates your team from the competition (in roughly 300 characters or less, not including spaces — think “less is more”)

And that’s it! Happy social media’ing.
